ŠumadijaŠumadija now runs in your browser
Since version 0.01.6 you can play Šumadija straight in the browser at game.shumadija.xyz. Same game as on Android, same save format, same rules.
What had to change
The game was written for phones and computers, so the browser needed a few changes under the hood:
- Saving was rewritten so it no longer depends on things browsers do not support. Every old save loads exactly as before; we checked them one by one.
- The river sound plays as a regular music loop in the browser.
- The mouse wheel zooms the map.
- The Exit button is hidden, since you leave a browser game by closing the tab.
Where your village is saved
In the browser, your village is saved on your device, in that browser's storage. The game saves by itself once per in-game day and when you go back to the menu. If you clear the site's data, you also clear the save.
The next step is accounts: email and password, so the same village continues on your phone and your computer. Accounts will be optional. Before they go live we will update the privacy policy to say exactly what we store.
